Buying or selling a home will be one of the biggest financial transactions of your lifetime.  Whether you are a first-time home buyer or selling your long-time family home, you want to know that you have access to all of the important resources you will need throughout the process.  And you want to partner with a real estate agent who will consult with you about your goals and concerns, and educate you through every step of the process, as well as have a variety of highly qualified partners to help you with various steps along the way - lending, home inspections, repairs and remodeling as just a few.

A few words about me...

I have had a passion for homes and design since I was a little girl.  That passion led me to leave a senior position at one of the nation's largest banks to purchase an interior design studio and showroom.  My timing wasn't great, though - we had one good year before we started to feel the effects of the recession, and I found my way to real estate.  I find it to be a perfect blend of my love of homes and the financial, legal and sales experience gained from my earlier career.  My successful prior experience working with senior trust clients led to my pursuit of a specialty designation as a Seniors Real Estate Specialist.  My love of design led me to becoming a Certified Staging Agent.  And my work doing corporate training gives me a solid background to educate my clients about all of the aspects of the home purchase or sale process.

What is a "concierge" real estate agent?

Many people think they don't need a real estate agent in today's world of technology.  After all, they can find property themselves on the internet and call the listing agent, or market their home as a FSBO.  They don't realize how many other steps are involved in the process, and the pitfalls that can occur along the way.

With a smaller population of buyers, it can be a challenge to sell a luxury property, defined in the St. Louis metro area as any home sale of $500,000 or more.  In order to provide the highest level of services to luxury clients, I took extensive training in order to achieve membership in the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.  Selling a luxury home requires compelling professional photographs that highlight the special features of the homes, a description that captures both the home and the lifestyle it offers, and a marketing plan designed to reach the higher end buyer.  As an interior designer and home stager, I am able to insure that the home presents itself to full advantage for photos, marketing, and showings, and if needed, I can provide "virtual staging" of vacant rooms through my design software or bring in the best in the business to stage a vacant home.  I believe in lots of captioned photos to highlight and further describe all of a fine home's features.  And my membership in the ILHM offers me some unique marketing take-aways that I have not seen elsewhere in St. Louis.  Your luxury home purchase or sale deserves a concierge-level of service!

As a former bank trust officer, I spent many years working with senior clients, so I was excited to learn that it was possible to obtain an advanced certification in Seniors Real Estate, the SRES designation.  As an SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist), I understand the needs of seniors and their families when it is time to move, whether it is downsizing to a condo, moving in with family, or selecting an independent or assisted living facility.  My Senior Move Manager partner, Janet Neal with Structured Transitions, and I are prepared to help with all aspects of the move:

Although I work throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area, I have lived in the Lafayette high school district for more than 25 years and have a thorough knowledge of this marketplace, from the multi-acre properties in the farther reaches of Wildwood to the traditional subdivisions throughout the district.  To help my buyers and sellers, I maintain a comprehensive, custom spreadsheet of every sale in the Lafayette district that has taken place since January 1, 2011, so I can slice and dice market data and see market trends in every imaginable way.  If you are interested in buying or selling in the Lafayette district, I would be delighted to share this data with you in order for you to make the best possible real estate decisions to help you meet your goals.

Rescue animals are my charitable passion, and if I could personally save every one of them, I would.  Instead, I have made it a focus to help rescue organizations do their best possible work through charitable donations from my commissions, animal transport (helping as part of a nationwide chain to drive an animal to its rescuer or forever home), monthly column on real estate and design issues for pet owners in Metropet magazine (get your copy at your nearest Dierbergs or Schnucks stores), and my founding and co-hosting of the annual Spring for Strays Happy Hour to benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis.  It is my great pleasure to help my fellow animal lovers achieve their real estate goals and dreams.
